Our Awards

In October 2002, the U.S. Department of Energy, under the auspices of the Regional Biomass Energy Program, established the Bioenergy Awards Program to recognize and honor individuals, teams or organizations that have exemplified the highest professional standards while advancing the use of biomass energy technologies. The awards recognize outstanding contributions in all aspects of the biomass industry.

For the Southeastern region, the award was presented to the Common Purpose Institute led by Mr. Steve Segrest.
